Studio Architetturale Didoné Comacchio New school complex Boscariz in Feltre New school complex Boscariz in Feltre The new school complex is divided into three functional blocks connected by a single large pitched roof, which guarantees protection from atmospheric agents and reduces long distribution routes, thanks to the large connecting space. The central Agora is not only a connection space, but a meeting and exchange place, which welcomes students throughout the year and lends itself to different activities. The large windows make it a space visually in continuity with the other rooms and favors the view towards the Belluno peaks to the north. The block to the west constitutes the didactic space developed on two floors above ground. In the extremities, characterized by a massive appearance, there are directional and laboratory functions. The classrooms for teaching, set up on the guidelines of the Educational Avant-gardes of the Third Millennium (INDIRE and MIUR), develop along the entire length of the block on the west and east sides, respectively. The choice of arranging the laboratories in the two most perimeter fronts allows for the creation of two environments that are functionally separate but spatially united so as not to create interference in the performance of the various educational activities. The same classrooms illuminated by large windows are protected and shielded from sunlight by a wooden structure inspired by the typical buildings of the Belluno area. Only materials with low VOC content are used in the classrooms which maximize the use of natural light. Entering the complex from the south, we find on the right, opposite the classroom block, a building that contains the public functions, i.e. the B2 type gymnasium, the library and Auditorium. All the spaces are designed to be completely independent from a functional point of view and their placement near the entrance and the parking lot is linked to the possibility of using the aforementioned premises by the local community even outside school hours. In front of the Agora, passing through the pillars that remain in memory of the existing structure, is the canteen set up for use also by the Giorgio dal Piaz high school. The third block contains the laboratories that require complex functions and devices, it will be detached from the school block for greater security but will be connected to the other functions with covered and closed paths for student access. The materials used try to resume the architectural tradition. Progetto #: 92
